My daughter recently moved into a new townhouse. I could just hear her excitement as we chatted on the phone while she went from room to room describing her unique color palate that she had chosen for each space. One of the rooms, she explained that she had decided on "mermaid colors" ..love that! What a creative child I have :)
I then was inspired to design this art piece for her housewarming gift... "THE MERMAID CROWN"...dedicated to my Brooke Anna,..... ....."You are Treasured".

The original photographs that I worked from were taken in 1899! It was a little 4x6 image I found at the Charleston, SC open air market, (on the hottest day of the year!!) in a shoe-box of black and white images for $1.50 each!! My sister was with me and doubted my sanity to be treasure hunting in this musty old box of photos, NOW she has these large canvas art pieces in her home in San Diego!!!
(Don't you just love when you prove
your big sister wrong!!??!!)
