~Holiday Home Tour ~
This past Christmas I was invited to be part of the nationally acclaimed bloghop! This is an event to show the top blogger interior designers from around the country to show how they decorated their homes for the holdays! Thank you My Sweet Savannah for inviting me to be part of your home!!!
Here's how she featured my Art!: "I was able to squeeze a tree into our master bedroom this year.
It is also from Balsam Hill, it's called their Nordmann Fir. But my favorite part of the room is my new art from Rhonda Addison! I decorated the room around this piece as it is stunning. Rhonda photographs these herself and then enlarges them and gives them sparkle and bling.I love these deer that were in her Montana backyard."

"I am so blessed to have some of the most wonderfully talented friends.
These people are crazy creative artists who create some of the most amazing pieces of art.
My friend Rhonda Addison is one of them.
She is a photographer, artist, and the sweetest person you will ever meet.
She creates one of a kind inspirational embellished art, layered with acrylics, crystal glitter, pearls, rhinestones, vintage jewelry, and all things sparkly!"

Rhonda is one of the sweetest kindest people I know, with a heart of gold.
She's one of those people you just want to be around, and give a giant hug.
She shares her big heart and talent in creating these wonderful one of a kind pieces of art with overlays, wording, crowns, glitter, and vintage jewels.
What she creates is purely magical.

So fast forward many years, and Rhonda and I are still friends, even though she's moved :(
and she sees a picture of my furry friend Maisy and wants to create a piece of art with her picture! I just about died. If you know me at all, you know I hold a special place in my heart for my pets. So I did a little photo shoot with Maisy and sent off photos to her. Below is the picture that was chosen. Isn't she the sweetest? Then this photo went through this process: |
It is true.
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.
I seriously could not be more in love with this. You have to check out her website and see all her other creations.
If you look at the crowned barnyard collection you can actually buy one of these Maisy pieces!

Our words..
Last night in the overwhelmingness (is this a word?) of all the preparation for The Farm Chicks, feeling completely torn that my mom is in the hospital, (I am flying down to be with her after the show) and here I am gluing bling, of all things, to my art. Why do I do what I do..does it really matter, isn’t there something bigger I should be doing with my life, like moving to Calcutta??..why am I so completely driven since I was 4 years old, to create and sell with complete passion in my every cell….and then, at just the perfect time I received this email from someone I have never met….
”I just want to tell you how VERY much I love your artwork. I feel like a ballerina in a music box, twirling with absolute delight when viewing your creations.
I don't know what it is, the photo, the quote, the beauty or sparkles, but everything inside of me dances like a giddy little girl when I see your artwork.
I am delighted to have connected with you.
My sister was an artist and I lost her 14 years ago to cancer. I have a deep appreciation for unique artistry and imagination.
Best to you!”

The power of words and the kindness to take the time to express them….feeling completely blessed and smiling with understanding of my calling..that my art does touch lives, my only true desire in doing what I do..and then, I get yet another blessing with words from Shelly Rollins on Facebook..
“Just a Big "Cheer" for all my Vendor Friends fine tuning everything for the Farm Chick Show in Spokane THIS weekend!
I know how hard you all are working and I KNOW that you are all going to BE great and DO great at the show!
You wouldn't be a Vendor there is you weren't amazingly talented, resourceful and dedicated!
Stop, take a breath, you are going to GREAT and it's going to be an AWESOME Show! (You know who you are, LOVE you all and can't wait to see you!)”
Doubly blessed. Thank you kind souls, who stop and encourage and bless…
I want to be like you when I grow up.
xoxo,
Rhonda

Hi Rhonda!!
I just received my package and it is so much better then Christmas. I have been so excited for them to get here. Both pieces are so beautiful, that they touch my heart and bring happy tears to my eyes.
Thank you so much for making them so amazing and beautiful. God has to be smiling extra big when he thinks of you, because you are doing so much with the gifts he has given you. You are touching lives in such a meaningful, extraordinary way. I can’t thank you enough.
Have an extra wonderful day. I look forward to seeing you next time you are in Spokane.
Sincerely,
Nina

Rhonda,
This is Holly writing to you. I have never written to thank you for the portrait of "Kela's Crown". It is hanging in our entry and has become a spring board of conversation as well as a reminder of how His grace and mercy abound. It is absolutely the most beautiful thing ever.
I honestly cannot remember how it got here to the house... "Where did this come from?" No answer. "Does anyone know who brought this?" Still, no answer. The card was still with it and I was so surprised to have received a gift along with the card. When I unwrapped the portrait.....tears flowed. Tears of joy mixed with pain, sorrow and gladness altogether came like waves of a desperately needed yet unrelenting monsoon.
Rhonda, you need to know that the portrait is so more than just a painting; it is a confirmation from the Lord for us to know that without a doubt ’He called Kela home' that day. David forgot to share, at Kela's celebration service, 'his side' of the story about that fateful day, we knew something wasn’t right sp David had gone looking for her. He came upon the scene of the accident and found her next to the car on the ground. The paramedics and coroner had already arrived and were doing whatever it is they do. They asked him to wait until they were finished with her. They then allowed him to spend about 15 or 20 precious minutes alone with her in the ambulance. He said after he climbed inside the ambulance he audibly heard the song "I'll Fly Away" as though it filled the entire cab of that ambulance. He began to cry and smile at the same time. He then declared out loud to her "You go Kel, you go see your Father, you go get YOUR CROWN, you've earned it.”!!!!
How great is our God? He knew before the foundation of the world that we would need to have one another in each others lives. He would bless you with that talent not only to bless others but to CONFIRM that even this too is a part of His plan.
Thank you again for the most amazing gift. My Kela's Crown of Confirmation! I am sorry that I haven't called or even attempted to try and write to you sooner to let you know what an awesome gift you have given to our family. We are coming up on her year anniversary of being with the Lord. I am still in shock. But I know that in time I will be able to sing in a loud voice and declare as Kela did "How great is our God".
May His blessing of peace be with you always,
Holly Hughes
Hi Rhonda,
I just left a message on your phone. My 17 year old daughter, Natasha, and I LOVE your art. I just bought three pieces last week at Kandy's shop and one at the Fur Ball Fund Raiser. I love not only the images you create but the sentiment that you put with them. Your art speaks to my soul.
Sincerely,
Trudy Walker

"Rhonda Addison is my favorite artist! Since seeing her work at the Street of Dreams in 2006, I have been a raving fan. I scheduled a photo shoot with my family at Kirkland's Marina Park and was completely impressed with her photography and her ability to connect with my four young children. I have numerous pieces of her artwork which include a collection of still-lifes and hand painted photography of my children on canvas through out my home and workplace. I know the Kirkland Gallery will be the perfect place to showcase her art."

Hi Rhonda!
The print turned out beautiful!! My mom absolutely loved it. I haven't seen it in person since we live in different states but she sent me a picture of it. She's going to take it to work tomorrow to show it off before she frames it.
When she saw the package with your name and address as the sender, she was wondering who in the world would be sending her something from Montana! :)
Thanks again for working with me to make something so meaningful and lovely. You are a wonderful artist with excellent customer service!
