The Cherry Tree

About 12 years ago, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. We were devastated. I dropped to my knees and cried out, "No God, please..., I'm not done playing with her!!!!". I looked out of my studio window in Seattle, the unexpected snow was falling on the beautiful cherry tree..nothing could hold back it's beauty, very representative of my precious mom. I went out and photographed it, and was inspired to add this verse...be still...the world seemed to be crashing down on us, but God was in charge... A few years later, another phone call... this one with the miraculous good news...my mom was cancer free! I looked out that sme window, at that same tree, this time surrounded by the most beautiful turquoise sky and fluffy cotton candy pink clouds...and was inspired to add this verse of thankfulness for His faithfulness. My mom recently turned 83 and continues to be cancer free. I am so beyond thankful for God's tender mercies in our lives..
